With the Olympic Winters being held I am amused that all they do here in Kolkata Ice Skating Rink is have sale fairs, for clothes, and then hockey has a hard time surviving, with the chairman resigning sentimentally. They only want more better grounds, be it cricket , golf, or shooting.
The Chargers may have lost to the Jets on Sunday, but there are no questions about coach Norv Turner’s future in San Diego.
Jets rookie Shonn Greene didn’t want to listen to critics downplay his skills as a running back, but he heard them anyway. Greene helped change the Jets’ fortunes when he became the primary backup after Leon Washington broke his leg in October.
Hey people did you read the drunken priest story by Graham Greene: it was the novel of dilapidated landscapes where a drinking priest was on the run.Good that he did not have a car else he would crash on rustic roads, with nothing more than a cloud of sand in the middle of nowhere.Sorry people, you are not reading my blogs well enough to correct my allusions: I did not mean “The Wasteland” which I never got my hands on: rather I was referring to T.S.Eliot’s random poetry about a pimp,(morbid blankets, not red Milano!) actually not even that it was a mistaken reference to T.S.Eliot’s…….?
Turner signed a three-year contract extension through the 2013 season on Monday. Turner has been with the Chargers since the 2007 season and has gone 32-16 with a 3-3 playoff record in that time. There are 16 golfing grounds and innumerable puts people.Has that been upgraded too as per Land Acts. After Eden Garden, we have few golfing grounds in and about Kolkata.
“I’m extremely proud of the job Norv has done with this team,” Chargers president Dean Spanos said in a statement. Jets coach Rex Ryan said he plans to stick with a combination of Jones and Greene in tomorrow’s AFC Championship game against the Colts.
“In three seasons he’s led the team to three division titles. I’m confident that if we strengthen our roster and continue to provide Norv the assets he needs, this team will have continued success.”
Turner won USA TODAY’s coach of the year award this year as the Chargers closed the season with 11 straight wins and a 13-3 record.
