The beautiful Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, who even created a stir with winning the Big Brother Contest in U.K.has been known for her dancing numbers and hourglass figure.She recently tied the knot with beau Raj Kundra on November 22, 2009 at ‘Bawa Villa’, in Khandala. The couple were engaged a month ago and also jointly own stakes for a cricket team in the IPL.
Shilpa is the eldest daughter of Surendra and Sunanda Shetty, manufacturers of tamper-proof caps for the pharmaceutical industry, and her native language is Tulu although she speaks several other languages at differing levels, including English, Kannada, Marathi, Hindi, Tamil, Gujarati, Telugu, Urdu and basic French. Shetty has been embroiled in various controversies including suspected mafia links. In 2006 she was issued with a warrant on charges of obscenity too.The gemini girl has had a hard time re-inventing her image and saving a staggering career but tying the knot is definitely the icing on the cake, even though it’s a bit late from the Indian perspective.
For her wedding ceremony, Shilpa Shetty was wearing a traditional saree of red and burgundy color. Sources stated that Tarun Tahiliani had designed the gorgeous wedding saree for the bride. The groom, Raj Kundra came in a well-decorated, horse drawn chariot and also donned traditional dresses. Dressed in a sherwani of maroon color, he wore a turban with Sehra that fell on the face. Reporters revealed that, Shantanu and Nikhil designed the wedding attire for Raj Kundra.
In certain ways Shilpa has been creating her own space in the industry. It seems glamour and sophistication have stuck around for her in an alluring way. In 2007, Shetty attended a reception at the House of Commons by invitation of Keith Vaz MP to meet with then Prime Minister Tony Blair.

Their reception is scheduled on November 24, 2009 in Mumbai and would be a star studded affair, as many high profile Bollywood celebrities are expected to turn up to congratulate the couple.
