Indian Embassy: Expansion In Islamabad And Food Festival

The Indian Embassy has come forward with its plans for expansion of its embassy in Islamabad. After allocating 58 acres of land to the US Embassy earlier, now approximately 10 acres land has been granted to Indian Embassy too. Construction has already commenced and more residences  and official branches are to come up at this Diplomatic Enclave. However this issue has raised controversy amid various authorities in Islamabad who argued that the Parliament should have been taken into confidence before making such approbation.

Well that is not all. The Indian embassy has organized the festival in collaboration with the Rixos President Hotel Astana, Intercontinental Hotel Almaty and Air Astana as part of its continued efforts to promote people-to-people contacts and strengthen bilateral relations between India and Kazakhstan. Marut Sikka, the most well known chef who has entered the hearts and kitchens of Indian homemakers, after Khana Khazana Chef Sanjeev Kapoor, has been invited to organize a food festival in Islamabad recently.

Such non-political gourmands and connoisseurs getting together at the festival, bring up the most authentic social events, nevertheless leaving a bad taste in the mouth of senior political extremists. The Irony is that governments have to  deploy Indian Army to shoot guns to protect their border infiltrations on the one hand and give artists an opportunity to interact with the same hostile neighbor after an intermission. It is the “Way of the World”, and does that bring back the misconduct of the superfluous Congreve, of the Restoration Age, where compassion was tainted perhaps ?

You will bump into a slew of complainers who have never received replies to several queries and failed to understand the aloof plight as regards Indian Information, Indian Passport or specifically Indian Birth Certificate for those who do not have one and have migrated to other nations. The Indian Embassy certainly has an incompetent image on the global front.
